This day every year puts so much pressure on single and not single and married people .They all frantically run around booking gifts etc for their other half and update facebook with that gift and shiny eyes.I totally abhor this culture of showing off gifts on facebook and people so materialistic that they need 100 likes to reemphasize their love :P
Anyways i might be a hypocrite but i did try my level best to get something that my fiance likes but alas these online merchants are totally unreliable to deliver on time.Only one out of three things got delivered.Its a childhood trait of mine where i love giving gifts , but i never really except to get one in lieu of that !!I used to gift a friend of mine every year on her birthday ,but she even used to forget to wish me.It never deterred until someone pointed out i can maybe gift that to someone who will appreciate it, like a book and pencil to a poor child! Well, that got me thinking and i always feel expensive flowers a bad gift , as they are so expensive and they don't last beyond few hours and flowers look good on plants than in shops.But, well i still love this, aren't i sounding like a total hypocrite.Anyways, people will always be people, and i am one among them, thou i am taking the holier than thou attitude ;)
