Ah..what a beautiful country we live in, a secular, multicultural ,colorful place. The life we lead is surely similar to the Ekta Kapoor saga, of course i am joking!! If real like was like the soaps , then i would just be dressing up and putting makeup and shedding some tears everyday. But, in real we have far different worries, work life balance,(oh yeah, we toil in office in real life), relationship balance, and what not.
I just saw this on internet :D, and had to write something on this.I have started to use "i don't care" lately a lot.Sometimes its just to pacify your mind that you don't care.Imagine within same community people have different set of traditions, customs, which is fun if they are fun.But when it gives you a headache, they only thing you can do is "i don't care" quote. Now, post marriage i have to come back to my mayka ;), now this is done by a brother. Now, my cousins are all working and i can't expect them to take additional week leave to pick and drop me(they are anyways taking for the wedding itself). As travelling is to places far apart. Now, either i adopt a brother or pester someone to pick me.My mom says that period is not shubh and i should stay back at in-laws place. My in-laws side thinks first Holi is to be at mom's place.(I don't mind going, but getting someone to pick me middle of week is hassle). Now, they are all making me feel unwanted !!(lol, if the brother clause wasn't there , and these tradition weren't there, i would have just jumped and gone on some trip). Now, you see how traditions become a headache in itself.I am wondering how this puzzle will solve now. I am sure some poor cousin will be forced to pick me !(Like a sack :D).I am not complaining, just that i have seen people struggling to make sense of tradition and culture sometimes! It just kills the fun out of life, makes you feel like piece of baggage.
