Zero expectation theory - Part 2

We have certain expectations set on us as soon as we are born on earth. You suddenly are an entity who have a barometer of expectation set on you.The barometer grows as you grow up.It sometimes explodes with the responsibility the burden. Its not something inbuilt but the society, parents , siblings, anyone you know starts setting up expectations. What if you don't meet these? You a nobody suddenly..
I usually start out any relationship/interaction with zero expectations, rather than a full barometer of high expectations. This seems to work, as with zero when someone turns out to meet some expectations,it makes you feel happier in the long run. What if someone is below zero expectation, well we can always prod them to move above zero atleast :P.
What made me write this?In our personal and professional lives we face disappointment everyday and face some amount of disillusion. Its gets quite depressing when it gets repeated more often than not. Somehow laughing through life with zero expectations works for me."Zero" here is not a pessimist, but a realist.
