Ethics...
I know quite a profound topic, but suddenly the news of layoffs in the organization i work made me think of it.How does the management decide to layoff people?Lately the trend is to fire with no consideration to one's performance in the organisation.Does the rapport the employee shares with manager come into picture?Does one's connection with them make a difference. To answer to all the above questions is a yes!Welcome to the MNC trend. Its quite disillusioning to say the least. When i started my career i was all set to make a record in efficiency .I did too,i can say this without conciet. But,alas it got me nowhere since i had no connections,so a pat on the head is all got from management. No,i was never asking them for a hike! But thats another story(of my previous organisation)....Getting back to ethics in MNC's, I have vowed to look for a more ethical employer next time i look for a job!Indian companies to some extent are better than MNC's where firing is done with a little more grace. In MNC's shockingly sometimes people are fired and security escorts them out of the premesis immediately on the same day. So,the trend now that employer looks for stable employee and changed to employee looking for a stable employer. This small note wont express what i really want to say,but it would suffice to say that "Expect the unexpected with MNC's"

Deja vu.
I think this has happened before!"This is happening again". We get this feeling many times in our lives. Deja vu is the feeling of "already seen". We go to places and feel a sense of familiarity even though we visit it for the first time. How does this happen?I have felt similar sense of deja vu in life.It gives the a strange sense of erriness to the entire experience. My granny used to tell me about a 3 year old girl who could recite the entire ramayana and mahabharata. They attributed it to her reincarnation.Being mordern and scientific we scoff at the notion. But how else can we rationalize the theory of 3 year old reciting such complex phrases?Interestingly the series "Ripleys believe it or not" makes one wonder about curious existance of human race and its capabilities.Thinking how human has evolved from a caveman to supercomputer era is mind boggling.Getting back to deja vu situations,I remember a friend exclaiming i have seen this before when we were on an historical site.We attributed it her knowing about the place, but strangely it was as if she was coming home.I guess somethings cannot be explained.
