The year started with me making a resolution to do some international travel.Work related travel was not in the offing.Since my friend Priyanka had moved to Malaysia a couple of months back. She urged us to travel to Malaysia and Singapore. So we started to check up who all are interested ,slowly it was only me and Pavi. Then with much deliberating over the dates we decided that end of Feb will be suiting all of us.
I booked the tickets with Airasia and then started the "where to go" "what to buy" stories. We realized that except for TV everything costed same. We finalized to go for Penang, Genting and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia .Singapore we thought to explore by self .
Me and Pavi were super excited about the trip and reached the airport 3 hours before the flight time. And we did security check and immigration in few mins and were sitting at our gate.We realized that we forgot to take forex and were in big trouble.Since we knew our mobiles wont't work in Malaysia we started panicking.During the flight i bought a water bottle and asked for the change in Ringgits and thankfully the airhostess agreed. Also i exchanged 100 Ringgits from the student sitting next to me.He was a second year medical student studying in Manipal.
We landed around midnight in KL.It was a very very hot and humid place. But overall we had super fun.Being a veggie in such countries might pose a problem.Singapore was also very fun.Overall i liked Singapore more than KL as KL was like india :).Hoping to cover one more country this year!
