Blandishing

I know some of you immediately googled for the meaning! Those of you who are still wondering what the heck blandishing mean."To coax by flattery or wheedling; cajole" .Sounds familiar ?You have mastered the art of blandishing or have seem people with these skills.That is right,its a genuine skill nowadays.Nothing to mock about.I have seen people achieving wonders with this.
Sometimes plain dedication to get things done doesn't suffice ,you need to know the words of flattery aka result oriented approach.Does it work in industries where scientific data matters .Yes ,it does work anywhere ,be it politics ,Medicine,IT..etc..It gets results when nothing else works.But,its an art people are either born with,can't be acquired,trust me i have tried :P. Maybe i din't get things done faster by not submitting to it,but atleast i still had my self respect ;) (Thats just something to make myself feel good).
 This topic should be included in the soft skill classes,as it will really help !lol! I am being sarcastic now.Getting back to the topic,i recently filled in a questioner  "what skill would you like to build" ..i was like blandishing.I thought seems like a good topic to write about and here it is.
I was recently at a book store and you won't believe ,i found books on this in the self help section.So,i wouldn't be far in saying that its the next big soft skill to be acquired.
