Snobbery!!

This is such a Victorian phrase.I used to see this a lot in victorian era novels. And it used to invoke a such touchy feel to the novel. Now lets see what is textbook meaning is "A snob is someone who adopts the worldview of snobbery — that some people are inherently inferior to him or her for any one of a variety of reasons, including real or supposed intellect, wealth, education, ancestry, taste, beauty, et cetera" .Yes,all these areas invoke snobbery,we just thought its just a feeling between rich and poor differentiating among themselves. Ancestral snobbery can be found in small towns and villages.Where people are differentiated based on birth, caste, community. In the cities we hardly interact with people with such depth.Based on wealth ,its common, still albeit at lesser levels compared to the others types. Now,education level snobbery is limited with IIT's and IIM's.If you are from these major institutions then people are treated a intellectual super beings and they expect to be treated differently.(I am just generalizing, might not be true). Now lets think what kinda snobbery we support in our lives.Well,i am a snob in the entertainment area, let me clarify.I cant seem to hit it off with people who discuss Ekta Kapoor saga's at every conversation.I absolutely hate discussing them(a total waste of time).I don't mind people watching them,as my mom too watches them sometimes. But discussing them at every time you meet a person,is not my thing. It might be due to the fact that i rarely watch them and have nothing to add to the conversation.I am trying to overcome this trait.I see snobbery based on people's depth of common sense. So,lets not be so differentiating in life and be happy people who coexist with all sorts of anomaly.
