Jaded world...
Is the mordern world all about jaded, cynical people? How did this happen? When did we stop taking pleasure from small things in life? Now we have big ambitions, dreams....Now we mock Indian culture! Thanks to ekta kapoor and her saas-bahu saga.We mock politics, thanks to lalu and his counterparts. Is the progress come to this?If not public opinion then we are jaded in our views of our personal opinions. We have now become people who inherit cynicism.Children hear parents often lamenting about the world, politicians, education system, cricket crazy world. Now it is no wonder that children assume this as the reality.I heard a 9 year old kid opionionating about education system, that he didnot believe in it.Hard to believe but true. So,in his opinion why support this education system by studying!Anyways coming back young india who is confused in their take on mordern India and its older myths. Its like mixing ganga water(purely used as similey) with vodka :P.Now this is a deadly confusing combination.People have opinions about everything without even trying to know for sure.We assume more and try less.Well i will keep on ranting on the topic, but i guess i am no different. What we need is clear, happy, fresh approach to every situation.

Airport mania
I arrived early to the airport, very early actually and check in just took 10 minutes .I was worrying about killing time as the only novel i had was already completely devoured, my laptop battery was uncharged. Another surprise was the delay in the flight by another 2 hours, so all in all i had four hours to kill. I sat down with my luggage, tried reading some colorful magazine, but people complaining about the delay in flight kept breaking my concentration. There were disgruntled people everywhere, businessmen complaining about waste of precious time, young mothers with crying babies. Then I noticed slowly the seats around me were filled up. Some guy sat next to me(cant remember his name),I was looking at the pics in my digicam and smiling to myself. He tried to take a peek at them .He: so you are waiting for Bangalore flight? me: yes He: Looks like its delayed for sometime me:yeah. He: so, you study or work in Bangalore .me: work. and the conversation continued......he: Looks like you are feeling cold? me:NO.He then walked to get a coffee. Then my interest was caught with a Angelina-Brad pitt look-alikes who had a brood of multiracial kids. I was enjoying the antics of the kids. He comes back with 2 cups of coffee "a hot coffee for a hot gal" Me rolling eyes and accepting it. Then a guy and a girl right behind me were talking..I was unintentionally eavesdropping as they were talking loudly. Seems like cupid had stuck there They were discovering mutual interests, likings etc etc..I was wondering how unusual that a delayed flight can turn to such an advantage to some. Somehow time passed with such colorful characters around me. Then we were boarding the flight. This guy and girl had seat next to each other ( serendipidity???),and i was right behind them(fate ;) ).Another surprising thing that happens when i fly is that the seat next to me is 80% of the time is empty!!(and yes it was empty). So, the entire flight was passed by dozing or listening to the guy and the girl in front of me(what can i do? they were talking loudly!!).We arrived at Bangalore safely ,i was waiting for my luggage at the arrivals. The same guy and the girl stood next to me (fate). The guy was apparently going to Srilanka for a trip and she was gushing "wow" .So, who is coming to pick you up the guy asks. Her reply "My husband" .I almost tripped on my luggage and the guy looked pale and ashen. That was the end of budding romance. sigh..

Does everything happen for a reason?
I was just wondering about this phrase which is often used to placate someone who is in doldrums.Does it work?Maybe for some and not for some. But makes you wonder if it really is true?We often go over things again and again and wonder what/why it went wrong? But do we realize what chain reaction it sets in place. We often hear people missing accidents just because they were late to a place. So,similarly every incident in our life is preordained to a set path which has two outcomes?Or this phrase is to kid ourselves that everything is alright?Possibly every situation cannot be called a pleasant experience. But unpleasantness is for a reason?I have tried this when i go through a bad patch. After that ,analyse what good has come out of all that unpleasantness. And surprisingly i often come with some positive energy. So,i guess some intelligent being who said "everything happens for a reason" was right.
