"Karm karo, phal ki chinta mat karo"
I have been wondering about this from sometime. How true is it? Can we really not care about the fruits of our labor? It is one thing that I have just been following it for the past few years and feel at peace. I realize that its pointless to waste energy in some things which are just not worth the effort. There are people who argue , harbor hatred, crib and the list goes on.These factor kind of move you away from the fruits of your labor and take you towards a self destructive path. No, this doesn't mean become complacent towards injustice done to you. There you need to fight back, as god will not magically appear to fix your problem.
Then this makes you wonder how can you not worry then and what does the above quote from Bhagwad Gita mean? It means we can Not by merely abstaining from work can one achieve freedom from reaction, nor by renunciation alone can one attain perfection. We need to continue doing our part hoping for the best. Now, here it clearly states "chinta mat karo" .It doesn't say become a saint , it just says be it good or bad, just hope for good, but do not worry. Its easier said than done, its not possible to not worry nowadays. We are bogged down by a world where worry is the main ingredient of the day.I wonder sometimes if this is really true or lord Krishna was just motivating Arjuna to fight.
One thing i am very clear is never to form a hearsay opinion about someone, we need to observe and make our own opinion. But, its best to start out by assuming something positive about a person. Its upto that person to build or break the image. The image sometimes tends to get murky like when you throw stone in a still image on water.I suppose we just give someone a chance till a problem can be sorted, else just let it go and be free of that person. This again makes you wonder, isn't this a tack taken by a person who is defeatist. But, you can only try upto a certain level.I tend to get detached of the situation and just can't connect back to such people. It might be flaw in my makeup , but it rarely happens that a person is so bad.We usually have some excuse to make and give a second chance. So, i wonder how often we are free of Chinta ?
